Enjoy A Yummy Chocolate Dessert On Your BBQ Grill

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

One of the most unusual ways to end a great barbecue party is by grilling a great chocolate treat for dessert.  Your guests will be amazed that you can grill a dessert that tastes so yummy – and it is extremely easy and simple.  Nothing could be more fun to cook for your guests on your brand new Weber 3751001 Genesis E 320 gas grill!

“Banana Chocolate Meltdown” is surely going to get a second glance from your guests, but more importantly, they’ll want a second helping!  You will be grilling bananas with the skin still intact, which acts as natural protection from the grill.  After the main course is cooked and served, turn down the heat on your grill and let these beauties gently cook while you enjoy your main meal.

You will need bananas (lots of them) and plenty of chocolate (either bars broken into small pieces or use chocolate chips).  You may also want some cocktail sticks to “stitch” your bananas while they cook.

  1. First, smash up your chocolate bar so you have small bits and pieces, or simply use chocolate chips.
  2. Next, using a sharp knife, make one long cut along the length of the banana.
  3. Carefully pull the skin apart just enough so that you can place the chocolate pieces or chips inside the incision and along the outside edge.
  4. Use the cocktail sticks to stitch up the banana (if you want) and let the bananas simmer gently over a low heat while you enjoy the rest of the meal.
  5. After the meal, the bananas are hot and soft and the chocolate is melted.

Enjoy a yummy sweet treat prepared on your favorite grill!  Who says you can only cook meats and side dishes on your grill?  You are only limited by your creativity and imagination!  Go ahead and enjoy tasty sweets cooked to perfection on your new Weber Genesis E 320 gas grill
